Under direction of the Pool Manager and Assistant Pool Manager, the position will be responsible for collecting daily fees and keeping accurate records of user attendance and daily financial status.
During the summer session, this position will work regularly from May to August.
Hours may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Register and check-in pool patrons.
Monitor activities in pool/swimming area to safeguard against accidents.
Maintain accurate records of attendance and fees collected.
Complete monetary transactions including deposits.
Answer phones, operate cash register, prepare daily reports, and respond to citizen inquiries.
Report hazards and assist in facility maintenance and inventory.
Explain facility regulations and policies to pool patrons and ensure safety precautions are followed.
Enforce policies governing public safety and quality service.
Work courteously with parents, students, general public, and staff.
Promote good customer service, orderliness, and professionalism.
Attend regular staff meetings and trainings.
Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
Federal, State and local laws, ordinances, policies, rules and regulations governing the conduct and safety of aquatics programs and public recreational facilities.
Rules, equipment, operations and techniques used in public sports and recreation programs.
Legal liabilities and responsibilities for community services staff.
Record keeping and file maintenance principles and procedures.
Ability to:
Understand and interpret recreation issues, regulations, and state and Federal laws.
Promote a positive recreation environment and good personal behavior.
Assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects and demands.
Plan, organize, and coordinate the work of team members.
Promoting and enforcing safe work practices.
Establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with co-workers.
Operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of standard and specialized software.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Typical Qualifications Minimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years of age.

equivalent with application materials if 18 years or older.
Availability to work varied shifts including early morning, nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
Experience in cashiering is required.
Ability to operate cash register, balance drawer transactions, perform basic accounting functions, and maintain cleanliness of office area and equipment.
Leadership experience, computer skills, and knowledge of Civic Rec system are desired.
Bilingual in Spanish is highly desirable.
Licenses and Certifications Candidates must possess at time of employment current Riverside County Food Handler Card.
American Red Cross First Aid Training, CPR and AED Certifications desired.
