The Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District has an opportunity for a Park Interpreter at the Gilman Historic Ranch in Banning.
Qualified applicants may be considered for future vacancies throughout the County.
The Park Interpreter will find new and exciting ways to educate children K-5th grade and the public on park history, facts, and current research.
The Park Interpreter will also assist in developing and conducting a natural science and historical interpretive program; work with non-profits; prepare collections and interpretation and collections; ensure that site maintenance is being performed; assist in training other personnel in interpretive techniques; and do other work as required.
This is the journey level in the Park Interpreter series.
Incumbents of this class are primarily responsible for the on-site operation and management of Interpretive Centers at one or more park.
Incumbents may supervise Park Interpreter Trainees, Park Attendants, volunteers, or others.
Incumbents report directly to the Interpretive Services Supervisor and are responsible for coordinating their activities with other involved Regional Park District personnel.
Competitive experience includes educating children, event planning, and experience preparing or creating lessons and curriculum.

A valid California driver's license is required, as the Park Interpreter will be required to travel throughout Riverside County to assist at different sites.
This site is open two Saturdays a month and weekend availability is required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
