Summary:
The Director of Surgical Services directs and coordinates the nursing care given and all aspects of management for the Surgical Services department.
This includes the Operating Room, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, Pre-Operative Preparation area, Sterile Processing Unit, and G.
I.
Lab.
The Director participates in and/or supervises the delivery of patient care, as necessary, and has the responsibility for establishing standards for nursing practice for the service.
He/she assures achievement of departmental goals and takes an active role in achievement of hospital goals as they relate to Surgical Services.
The Director assures adherence to hospital policies and standards set forth by accreditation and regulatory agencies.
REQUIREMENTS:
Graduate of a School of Nursing.
BSN degree or equivalent preferred.
Current RN license in California.
ACLS and BLS certification required.
Minimum of five years operating room experience.
Prior managerial experience is required with demonstrated administrative and leadership ability.
PAY / BENEFITS Estimated pay:
$160,000.
00 to $170,000.
00 Annual Salary, based on qualifications (including but not limited to experience, education, certifications, and licensure where applicable).
